Up for auction is a SHIMANO MAGNUMLITE SpeedMaster BSM-2200FS Baitcasting Fishing Reel and Parts List from the repair manual. The BSM-2200FS reel series continues with the same super fast 6.1:1 retrieve ratio present in other SpeedMaster models, while introducing an adjustable Pre-set Drag System with a Fightin’ Star lever that allows instant tightening or loosening of the drag by shifting the lever forward or backwards. This reel is considered by many fishermen to be one of the true “workhorse” reels of the late 1980’s through the early 1990’s, with the Fightin’ Star Drag being one of the most innovative features of its time. This reel series was built to be tough, trouble-free and durable. I purchased this reel new and even though it shows some signs of wear, it is still very functional. There are some scuff marks on the surface but most of the print is still legible. Other than needing a good oiling and greasing, this reel is ready to fish. This reel would make a great backup reel, beginner reel or parts reels for other SpeedMaster reels. As I stated, it is a used reel and even though I am not aware of anything wrong with this reel beyond normal wear and tear, I am selling it “as-is”. I have listed the reel’s features to the best of my ability. For those features that I could not personally verify, I researched through various reliable sources on the web in order to provide you with the most information possible regarding this reel.
